Original half leather binding. pp.iv./pp.284 . 6.7cm x 4.5cm x 1.8cm . Brown calf spine and corners over very rubbed boards. Flat spine with gilt banding. Hinges and corners carefully strengthened. Previous owner's signature to front free-endpaper: "H. Boyce". Engraved frontis and title-page, soiled and foxed. Engraved frontis by 'Roberts sc.' after 'Cruikshank del.' Leading edge very rubbed with small loss. Clear English text throughout. Colophon to base of last leaf: "W. Shackwell, Printer, Johnson's court, Fleet-street, London."
